Invisalign® clear braces use a series of invisible, removable and comfortable aligners to move your teeth into the correct position. This means you can still smile confidently during treatment.
Using 3D computer imaging technology, Invisalign® clear braces creates individual personalised aligners in the US using medical grade plastic.
Invisalign® clear aligners are worn for 2 weeks, 22 hours per day. The Invisalign® aligners are only removed for eating, drinking and brushing, after which you move onto your next pair of aligners that you wear for another 2 weeks. You keep going along until all Invisalign® aligners in your series are completed and you’ve completed your journey to straight teeth! As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move little by little each week until they have straightened to their final position that Specialist Orthodontist, Dr. Katyal has prescribed. This process is and technology is truly amazing on how Invisalign® works!
Every 4-8 weeks, you’ll visit Clean Clear & Correct Smiles to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned and any adjustments are made.
Invisalign® and Invisalign® Teen are as effective as traditional braces for treating a broad range of orthodontic issues. Issues such as crowding, spacing, midline off centre, narrow smile, overbite, underbite, crossbite, deep bite and open bite can all be treated from anywhere between 9 – 24 months. Invisalign® has now treated over 3 million smiles worldwide and hence it has evolved to be much more than when it was first launched.
Expert Invisalign® Orthodontist in North Shore (Sydney), Dr Vandana Katyal has been awarded the Invisalign® Platinum status in 2015 and is highly experienced in combining various techniques and modern methods with the Invisalign® clear aligners and braces to get you the best result in a safe, fast and effective manner. Even in cases requiring jaw surgery, Invisalign® may be suitable.
Recent studies published in high ranking orthodontic journals show that there is definitely less pain perceived during Invisalign® treatment and it is definitely more hygienic, reducing the risk of enamel damage during teeth straightening.
Clinical case example for traumatic bite, deep bite and lower jaw retrusion in a teen boy (J.S.) – J.S. had a deep bite and front incisors with excessive spacing. Lower front teeth were slightly crowded and his treatment involved not only achieving straight teeth but also improving his bite with elastic rubber bands. His treatment is estimated to take 18-24 months with Invisalign®.
Clinical case example for extraction of a lower incisors in an adult female with crossbite , missing upper teeth and an underbite (A.N.) – A.N. has a narrow upper jaw, missing two upper teeth and a crossbite. Her chief concern is her narrow and uneven smile. To fit all her teeth, align them and give her a good healthy bite, we considered a treatment simulation with and without lower incisor extraction. It was decided to extract a lower incisor to balance her 2 upper missing teeth. Invisalign® works very well in such cases, closing the extraction space quickly and masking the extraction space easily while in treatment. Her estimated treatment time is 18-24 months.
Clinical case example of a teen who had braces previously, suffered widespread enamel decalcification (due to various reasons) and then a relapse of the 1st orthodontic correction (D.B.). Invisalign® is a treatment of choice here as not every tooth is engaged or bonded to as in traditional braces – this helps protect the previously decalcified / weakend enamel, giving D.B. a removable option so he can clean his teeth better. Additionally, D.B. can use a protective enamel remineralising agent such as Tooth Mousse in the aligners during his Invisalign® treatment. This can help reduce the unsightly white enamel spots.
Clinical case example of a teen girl with narrow upper jaw, crowded front teeth and lack of space for the eruption of upper left permanent canine (G.P.) Invisalign® Teen was chosen to help expand her narrow upper dental arch and proclining her front teeth to create space for the upper left canine. She may need a future gum exposure of the canine. Her estimated treatment time is 24 months.

Here are even more reasons why you should choose Dr Vandana Katyal & CCC Smiles team for your Invisalign® treatment:
Invisalign® doesn’t take longer to complete than conventional braces in most cases. They are invisible plastic aligners that you change every one-two weeks.
Because the Invisalign® aligners are removable, you can eat and drink what you want during treatment and brushing and flossing is no problem. As there are no wires or elastics, you generally spend less time in the surgery getting adjustments or emergencies requiring same day attention.
Invisalign® also allows you to view your personalised digital treatment plan when you start – you can see how straight your teeth will look at the completion of treatment, how may aligners are required and how the movements are programmed. Sometimes, we are in doubt whether extraction is required. In such situations, Invisalign® digital treatment simulation can help to confirm how the teeth will look with or without extraction.
You’ve always wanted straight teeth and have noticed your teeth moving recently. Invisalign® can work for you. Or you’ve gone through orthodontic treatment before and haven’t been able to wear your retainer and consequently your teeth have moved – Invisalign® can be perfect for those adjustments.
